Power in your hands

We begin by recognizing, activating and engaging the power in our hands, first with curiosity and extending to explore who we are (Identity), how to achieve purpose and effect change (Agency), how to develop the Courage to navigate conflict that comes with connecting, using Commitment for problem solving together, and creating cultures of belonging, safety and care, through Trust.

Curiosity, part of responsible decision-making, leads to the pursuit of knowledge and different perspectives and contributes to attention, engagement, and learning.

Identity (Who am I? Who are we?)

Agency (Power)

Courage (Conflict & Connection)

Courage is required for Belonging, as conflict inevitably comes with our efforts to connect with others. Belonging, part of social awareness, the experience of acceptance, respect, and inclusion within a group or community. Having a sense of belonging is critical to well-being, motivation, and achievement.

Commitment (Problem-Solving Together)

Collaborative Problem-Solving, part of relationship skills, the ability to build shared understanding and work together to come to solutions by pooling knowledge, skills, and efforts.

Trust (Acompañar)

We add Trust to our model of life skills, as it is essential for collaboration and is at the heart of our peer-coaching model.
